2019 SIG-DL Student Engagement Award Winner Announcement

The Special Interest Group-Digital Libraries (SIG-DL) is delighted to announce Ana Roeschley as the winner of this year’s SIG-DL Student Engagement Award.

Ana Roeschley is a doctoral candidate in the College of Information at the University of North Texas. After receiving her BA in English from the University of Texas at Austin, she went on to earn an MS in Library and Information Science and an MA in History from Simmons College. She has served as the president of the University of North Texas Chapter of ASIS&T for two years and was named as a winner of the ASIS&T New Leaders Award (2018-2020). Ana’s research interests include digital archives and libraries, collective memory, digital humanities, and participatory archival culture.

As the recipient of the Student Engagement Award, Ana will attend the 2019 ASIS&T Annual Meeting in Melbourne. The SIG-DL Student Engagement Award is granted annually to a student who shows promising interest in the field of digital librarianship and participation in ASIS&T. The award supports the awardees attendance at the Annual Meeting with a modest monetary sum to assist with travel costs. A deserving awardee, Ana is an enthusiastic professional whose research, community involvement and leadership ability will thrive with her attendance at ASIS&T AM 2019.
