Getting to Vancouver is a breeze. Whether you’re flying into Vancouver International Airport, or driving in on one of the provincial highways, all roads lead to Vancouver. Vancouver International Airport (YVR) is known for its four pillars of Sustainability—Social, Economic, Environment and Governance.
The Canada Line is Vancouver’s rapid transit rail connecting YVR to downtown Vancouver in under 30 minutes. You can access trains from both the International and Domestic Terminals. Check the Canada Line website for the latest schedules, news and events.
Vancouver has established set taxi fares between the airport and the downtown convention district and several other locations. Understanding Zone Fare vs Metered Fare—Vancouver is unique from most cities, in that the most heavily trafficked areas are set on flat rate zone fares. This is why many times you will not see the driver start the meter. However, when traveling to a point outside of the zone, the driver will start the meter at the point of exiting the zone boundary, and the fare will be a total of the zone fare plus the additional metered distance to the destination.
