Commemorating Dr. Robin Peek
Dr. Robin Peek passed away on August 21, 2015, in Boston, MA.
Dr. Peek was an Associate Professor in the School of Library and Information Science at Simmons College. She worked at Simmons for over 20 years and retired in 2014. She was a distinguished scholar in the information science community and an admired individual.
She was one of the first advocates for Open Access (OA) publication. For many years, she served on the editorial board for what is now the Journal of the Association for Information Science and Technology (JASIST), and was also an Associate Editor for the journal’s book reviews.
