iSchool Raced to Archive U.S. Environmental Science Data

On a snowy day in December Professors Michelle Murphy, Matt Price and Patrick Keilty conducted a successful Guerilla Archiving event at the Inforum. Joined by other volunteers they worked to conserve environmental data that is currently available to the public on U.S. federal websites. Professors at the University of Toronto are worried that with the new administration environmental data may begin to disappear. Based on their experiences in Canada with the Harper administration where data was pulled back from public access, they felt compelled to take this step. Similar events are expected to be held in Philadelphia, New York and Los Angeles. Numerous media sources covered the story:
