Fry (1915-1994) served as the Dean of the School of Library and Information Science at Indiana University (1967-1984), the Director of the Atomic Energy Commission’s Technical Information Service, and the Director of the Department of Commerce Federal Clearinghouse for Scientific and Technical Information.  He performed crucial editing work at the Government Publications Review and Information Processing and Management.
