Submission Instructions

To submit a Paper / Poster / Panel / Alternative Event / Workshop / Doctoral Colloquium proposal, please upload a Word document through the ConfTool Site. For detailed instructions for Doctoral Colloquium submissions, please see the separate instructions.  Submissions (except for workshops and doctoral colloquium proposals which do not require the use of the template) should be formatted according to the AM21 Proposal Template and must comply with the page limits noted in the template. Please follow the naming conventions noted at the end of this document.

Submissions are particularly welcome that respond to the conference theme: Information: Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Justice, and Relevance. In general, submissions are invited which are related to, but not limited to, the following topics:

Instructions for Final Paper Submissions for Proceedings

All accepted Papers, Panels and Alternative Events, and Posters must be revised per any recommendations made by the reviewers. Be sure that the page count does not exceed the above-noted limits when making revisions including title and abstract (not more than 200 words), not including references (do not include appendices). Final submissions must be formatted according to the AM21 Proposal Template. Be sure to add the author and co-author names, along with their affiliation and email address to the top of your paper under the title.

Once revised, please upload the final document using the template only as a .doc or .docx file in the ConfTool submission system. Please use the following naming convention for uploaded files:

Long and Short Paper (only if you would like your paper published in the Proceedings, which is optional): 

  • [first author’s last name, first initial] AM21LongPaper or AM21ShortPaper respectively (Example: Last, Initial AM21Long(or Short)Paper.doc)

Panel:

  • [first panelist’s last name, first initial] AM21Panel (Example: Last, Initial AM21Panel.doc)

Alternative Event:

  • [first presenter’s last name, first initial] AM21AE (Example: Last, Initial AM21AE.doc)

Poster: 

  • [first author’s last name, first initial] AM21Poster (Example: Last, Initial AM21Poster.doc)
