Workshops
Workshops will be held before the conference. In-person workshops will be held on Friday and Saturday, October 27-28. Virtual workshops will be held in early October prior to the conference. Please note, virtual workshops will be recorded to ensure if someone can’t attend due to their time zone, they can watch the recording. All virtual presenters will have to agree to being recorded prior to the submission being accepted.
Workshop organizers are asked to indicate in their abstract whether the workshop will be offered virtually or in-person.
The purpose of a workshop is to provide a more informal setting for the exchange of ideas on a focused topic and suggest directions for future work. As such, they offer a good opportunity for researchers and professionals to present and discuss their work among a targeted and interested community. Workshops may be mini-focused research presentations, a series of working events, brainstorming and idea sharing, or even teaching/learning a new skill.
If your workshop is sponsored by a SIG (Special Interest Group), please indicate this in your proposal.
- Length: The maximum length for a workshop submission, including title and abstract (not more than 200 words), is 2 pages not including references (i.e., pages with only references do not count toward the page limit). Do not include appendices. It does not require using the proposal template.
- Any tables, figures, or other graphics should be embedded in the document.
- Workshop Length: One half day (4 hours) or one full day (7 hours plus 1-hour lunch break).
- Peer Review: Workshop proposals undergo a single-anonymized review process and must not be anonymized.
