AM26 Symposium
26th Annual SIG-USE Research Symposium: Theories of Information Behavior 2.0
The challenges involved in use and development of theory in information behaviour and practice is an ongoing topic of interest and concern. This symposium is an opportunity to reflect on progress, challenges, and areas for future research featuring expert insights, emerging research, and generative discussion.
More About this Symposium
The 26th Annual SIG-USE Research Symposium will explore the use and development of theories in information behaviour and practice through presentations by leading experts and generative roundtable discussions. While there has been development and growth in use of theory within our discipline, there remain ongoing concerns that this is not sufficient and presents challenges for many researchers. SIG-USE has been active in exploring theoretical frameworks for over two decades. This symposium is an opportunity for members to reflect on progress made and identify areas for future research. In order to maximise discussion and generation of new ideas, this symposium will feature panel discussion to inform generative roundtable discussions amongst participants, and a poster session. This symposium is open to all ASIS&T members with an interest in information behaviour and practice theory use and development.
