Do not include any author names in the paper you upload for review. If accepted, you will add the names later. The presenters will have 12 minutes to present their paper, followed by 3 minutes for Q&A.  Publishing the final paper in the Proceedings is optional.

Panels

Proposals for 45 minute panels are invited on topics that explore emerging cutting-edge research and design, analyses of emerging trends, opinions on controversial issues, analyses of tools and techniques, or contrasting viewpoints from experts in complementary areas of research.

If your panel is sponsored by a SIG (Special Interest Group) or Chapter, please indicate this in your proposal.

Proposals should include an overview of the issues to be discussed. They must also only list panelists who have agreed to pay the registration fee and present during the conference, indicating the qualifications and contributions of each.

Panels are intended to be highly interactive and participatory, informal, engaging, and pluralistic, and are not a substitute for a set of contributed papers. We aim to select a balance of panels to appeal to the wide variety of ASIS&T attendees. The review criteria will be considered in the review process include:

  • A cohesive theme likely to promote lively discussion,
  • Valuable and interesting contributions to areas represented by the ASIS&T community,
  • A clear, feasible, and well-organized session plan that emphasizes audience interaction, and
  • Appropriate levels of diversity in panelists who will contribute unique perspectives and content to the session.

Posters

Posters are designed to invite questions and discussion and offer a unique opportunity to present late-breaking results, work in progress, data sets, methodological tools, or research that is best communicated in a poster format. Authors are expected to address how the work will be presented (e.g., poster, demo, etc.). Your poster can be up to three (3) PowerPoint slides (see styling tips below). Each poster presenter will present in a zoom breakout room, and you will need to be present in the room for the scheduled time.

  • Length: The maximum length for a poster submission, including title and abstract (not more than 200 words), is 2 pages not including references (i.e., pages with only references do not count toward the page limit).
