Service learning and eService learning are high impact pedagogies that bridge theory and practice through structured community engagement in both physical and digital environments. In the age of AI, these approaches are critical for developing ethical information practices, critical thinking, and socially responsive LIS professionals.

This workshop presents a structured framework for integrating service learning into LIS curricula, including course redesign, community partnership development, and assessment strategies. Participants will examine implementation models, analyze case examples from Information Literacy and User Education courses, and collaboratively develop a service learning integrated course plan.

The session emphasizes alignment with learning outcomes, reflective practice, ethical engagement, and sustainable institutional support. By the end, participants will produce a practical design template and an actionable implementation plan adaptable to their institutional context.
