Q: What does my registration include?

A: Full conference registration typically includes:

  • Access to all educational sessions, posters, and exhibits (Sun-Mon-Tues)
  • Opening Keynote and closing sessions
  • ASIS&T Business Meeting and Lunch
  • Networking events and receptions
  • Scheduled meal functions and refreshment breaks as noted in the program
  • Access to the conference mobile app
  • Workshops are not included in conference registration and require separate registration.

Q: Will I receive a badge?

A: Yes. You will receive your conference badge when you check in. Badges must be worn during all conference activities.

Q: Can I pick up my badge for someone else?

A: No. For security and registration verification purposes, attendees must pick up their own badges unless otherwise approved by conference management.

A: Yes. Full conference registration provides access to all sessions. Workshops and symposia require advance registration for an additional fee. Participation in the Early Career Colloquium and Doctoral Colloquium is by invitation only.

Q: Will presentation slides be available?

A: Many presenters choose to share their materials through the conference app. Availability is at the discretion of the presenter.

Q: Are sessions recorded?

A: Only the keynote session will be recorded. The recording will be shared with attendees after the conference.

A: You will receive an email invitation from Whova prior to the conference. Use the same email address associated with your registration to log in.

A: Check your spam or junk folder first. If you still cannot locate the email, contact the ASIS&T office for assistance.

Q: How can I connect with attendees before the conference?

Q: What is the conference hotel?

Q: How do I get from the airport to the hotel?

A: We recommend Grab or Bolt, Thailand’s alternatives to Uber, for transportation between Bangkok’s airports and the Royal Orchid Sheraton Riverside Hotel. Please download and set up both apps before arriving for a seamless travel experience.

Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK): $12–$20 USD*

Don Mueang Airport (DMK): $9–$17 USD*

Q: Which airport should I use?

A: Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) is the primary international airport serving Bangkok. Don Mueang International Airport (DMK) also serves many regional and low-cost flights. Check your itinerary carefully before arranging transportation.

Q: Is parking available at the hotel?

A: Onsite parking is complimentary for both

  • Conference attendees who are staying at the hotel, for the duration of their stay from check-in through check-out; and
  • `Conference attendees who are not staying at the hotel, provided they have the parking coupon stamped and leave the parking area by the end of the event day.

Q: Can I extend my hotel stay?

A: Hotel availability is managed directly by the hotel. Contact the property to inquire about additional nights.

International Attendees

Q: Do I need a visa to attend?

A: Visa requirements vary by country. International attendees should review Thailand’s entry requirements well in advance of travel. Important visa information is available HERE.

Q: Can ASIS&T provide a visa support letter?

A: Yes. Registered attendees may request a visa support letter through the conference registration process or by contacting the ASIS&T office.

Q: Does a registration confirmation or visa support letter guarantee entry into the country?

A: No. Admission decisions are made solely by government immigration officials.

Q: What travel documents should I carry?

A: Carry a passport valid for your travel dates, any required visa or entry authorization, proof of onward travel if requested, your hotel confirmation, and your conference registration confirmation. Keep digital and paper copies in separate locations.
