Important Thailand Visa & Entry Information

As you prepare for your trip, we encourage you to review the following important visa and entry information to ensure a smooth arrival in Thailand.
1. Check Your Visa Requirements
Thailand updated its visa-exemption and Visa on Arrival policies effective September 15, 2026. Entry requirements depend on your passport nationality, purpose of travel, and intended length of stay.
Visa Exemption
Effective September 15, 2026, ordinary passport holders from 60 countries and territories, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, India, Japan, and all EU member states, may enter Thailand without a visa for tourism stays of up to 30 days. Other visa-exemption arrangements may also apply.

Visa on Arrival
Thailand currently offers Visa on Arrival to eligible ordinary passport holders from Azerbaijan, Belarus, and Serbia for short tourism visits, subject to applicable immigration requirements.
Visa Required Before Travel
If you are not eligible for an applicable visa exemption or Visa on Arrival, or if those arrangements do not cover your travel purpose, you may need to obtain an appropriate visa before departure.
We strongly recommend checking the requirements with the Royal Thai Embassy or Consulate responsible for your country of residence and starting your visa application as early as possible.

2. Visa Support for AM26 Attendees
ASIS&T is working with the Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) to provide visa support documentation for eligible conference participants who require assistance.
If you have requested a TCEB visa support letter, please allow sufficient time for processing and do not delay preparing your visa application.
Please note that a support letter does not guarantee visa approval. All visa decisions are made by the relevant Thai authorities.
3. Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)
All non-Thai nationals entering Thailand are generally required to complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) online within three days before arrival, including the arrival date.
The TDAC is free of charge and is separate from a visa. It does not replace a visa when one is required.

4. Important Travel Reminder
Visa and entry requirements may change. All attendees are responsible for ensuring that they have the appropriate travel documents and permission to enter Thailand.
We encourage you to verify the latest requirements directly with the appropriate Royal Thai Embassy or Consulate well in advance of your departure.
