AM26 Workshop
Online teaching and Student Engagement: Tips and Tricks for Connecting with Students in Online Learning
Teaching is constantly evolving to address learning styles and delivery methods. Online learning is expanding and evolving as technology allows us to reach our students. How do we, as instructors, keep our students engaged with content and learning in the online classroom?
More About this Workshop
So much of current teaching and learning happens in an online context. Many programs offer online classes, both in synchronous and asynchronous formats. This is not new as these types of programs have been offered for over two decades. Much of the move to online platforms has been driven by the need to meet our students where they are rather than expecting them to come to us. While this has open opportunities for many who could not previously pursue graduate work, it has come with challenges, including how to create an equitable learning environment online.
