Incoming Chair: Rong Tang, Associate Professor, Simmons College
Dr. Rong Tang is an Associate Professor in the Graduate School of Library and Information Science at Simmons College. She is the current and founding Director of the Usability Lab at Simmons. She received her Ph.D. from the School of Information and Library Science, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her research ranges from users’ online search behavior, users’ judgment process on document relevance, citation importance, and information quality, to needs assessment, user experience research, interaction design, and usability evaluation. Her recent research involves the investigation into library users’ experience with mobile devices/tools and multitouch interactive tabletops. Dr. Tang has taught evaluation of information services, library automation systems, digital information services and providers, research methods and design, and usability and user experience research. One of her papers has won the 2008 Wynar/ALISE research paper competition. She has received multiple external fundings or grants for her research. Dr. Tang has been a member of SIG-USE since its inception, and she has also been actively involved in ASIST annual conferences as a presenter, moderator, and poster session participant.

Treasurer: Bradley Wade Bishop, Assistant Professor, University of Kentucky
Bradley Wade Bishop is an Assistant Professor in the School of Library and Information Science at the University of Kentucky College of Communication and Information and has a BS in Business Administration is from the University of Florida, a MA in LIS from the University of South Florida, and completed a PhD at the College of Communication and Information at the Florida State University. He would enjoy finally using that undergraduate accounting and finance coursework. Bishop’s research interests include Geographic Information Science, Virtual Reference, and Public Libraries. He has published in Library and Information Science Research, Library Quarterly, Journal of the American Society for Information Science and Technology, Government Information Quarterly, Journal of Education for Library and Information Science, Library Trends, College and Research Libraries, among others. He has received funding from the Laura Bush 21st Century Librarian Program grant via the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) to formally integrate Geographic Information Systems (GIS) into library and information science (LIS) curricula and an NSF Natural Hazards Center grant to study the role of public libraries in response to tornadic activity. Bishop has been a member of ASIS&T since 2006 and has served on the SIG USE Web Site Committee.

Recruitment/Membership Officer: Nicole Cooke, Assistant Professor, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
Nicole A. Cooke is an Assistant Professor at The Graduate School of Library and Information Science at The University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, having graduated from Rutgers University with a PhD in Communication, Information, and Library Studies in 2012 (where she was an ALA Spectrum Doctoral Fellow). Her research interests include LIS distance education and instruction, human information behavior in online settings, the retention and mentoring of minority Librarians and LIS Doctoral Students, and leadership, organizational development and communication in libraries. She is a frequent reviewer for Library Journal, was a column editor for Public Services Quarterly, and has published profiles in the African American National Biography project, articles in College and Research Libraries News and The Journal of Library & Information Services in Distance Learning, the New Review of Academic Librarianship, and several book chapters related to information literacy instruction. Her latest effort is Instructional Strategies and Techniques for Information Professionals (2012), published by Chandos Press. Named a Mover & Shaker in 2007 by Library Journal, Nicole is professionally active in ALA, ALISE, ASIS&T and several other professional library organizations. She holds the MLIS degree from Rutgers University, and a M.Ed. in Adult Education from Penn State.

Communications Officer: Sara Mooney, Information Architect, Zappos Development, Inc.
Sara Mooney is the Information Architect at Zappos Development, Inc., and maintains the site taxonomy, navigation, and other site architecture initatives for Zappos.com and 6pm.com. She previously worked at Cirque du Soleil as a Documentalist (knowledge manager) for all resident shows, which included forming a taxonomy for inter-show use and SharePoint implementation strategizing. During her free time, Sara is active in the Las Vegas Tech community (http://vegastech.com/), and a librarian / board member for /usr/lib (http://usrlib.org), a membership-driven special library serving the Las Vegas startup and technical community. Sara holds an MLIS degree from Florida State University, and was a 2010 recipient of an ASIS&T New Leader Award.

Secretary: Kyung-Sun Kim, Associate Professor, University of Wisconsin-Madison
Dr. Kyung-Sun Kim is an Associate Professor in the School of Library and Information Studies at University of Wisconsin-Madison. She received an MLIS from l’Universite de Montreal, Canada, and a PhD in LIS from the University of Texas-Austin. Her research focuses on information-seeking behavior including Web search and source selection/use. The ultimate goal of her research is equal access to information for users with diverse backgrounds, through user-centered systems and services. She has taught various courses including use and users of information, digital libraries, organization of information, and research methods. She has participated in SIG USE since 2005 when her work was selected as a meritorious poster. She has been actively involved in ASIST and SIGs including SIG USE, as advisor, chair, member of review committees, and presenter.
