Given the complexity of AI itself and its many impacts there is a need for clear strategic thinking about how to respond. The presentation considers the potential impact of AI on library work; analyses the benefits and ethical challenges; and identifies some strategy forming tools that can help give library response a direction.
Attendees will gain the ability to:
  • Analyze the possible relevance of AI to libraries in general and their context in particular
  • Weigh up the benefits and ethical challenges of AI in this context
  • Pick strategy forming tools and approaches
