Jane Greenberg is the Alice B. Kroeger Professor and Director of the Metadata Research Center (MRC) at the College of Computing & Informatics, Drexel University. Her research activities focus on metadata, knowledge organization/semantics, Linked Data, and data science. She serves on the advisory board for the Dublin Core Metadata Initiative (DCMI) and the steering committee for the NSF Northeast Big Data Innovation Hub (NEBDIH). She is the PI for the HIVE (Helping Interdisciplinary Vocabulary Engineering) Linked Data initiative, a PI for the NEBDIH “A Licensing Model and Ecosystem for Data Sharing” initiative, and a CoPI for the NSF I/UCRC Center for Visualization and Decision Informatics (CVDI). She has been involved in metadata activities of the Research Data Alliance (RDA), and number of national and global metadata activities addressing scientific research data.
