The US Northeast Chapter of ASIS&T (NEASIS&T) is offering up to 4 Presenter Stipends to support participation in the ASIS&T 2025 Annual Meeting, held November 14–18, 2025 in Crystal City, Virginia. This stipend is intended to help offset travel and registration costs for current NEASIS&T chapter members who have been accepted to present in person at the conference.
Each stipend will support reimbursement of eligible conference expenses (registration, travel, lodging, etc.) up to $250. Reimbursement will be processed after the conclusion of the ASIS&T Annual Meeting, upon submission of valid receipts.
Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Be current NEASIS&T chapter members at the time of application
- Be living, working, or attending school in the US Northeast region (ME, NH, NY, NJ, VT, MA, RI, CT, DE, MD, or PA)
- Have an accepted in-person presentation at the 2025 ASIS&T Annual Meeting (including papers, posters, panels, workshops, or alternative sessions)
- Attend and present in person at the Annual Meeting to receive the award
- Recipients of the 2025 Conference Support Award are not eligible under this award.
- Please Note: Symposia and colloquia events are not eligible under this award.
Application Requirements
- A copy of your presentation acceptance (PDF of email, screenshot of the program, etc.)
- A short abstract of your accepted presentation
- A response (up to 200 words) to the following prompt:
How will presenting at the 2025 ASIS&T Annual Meeting contribute to your professional goals and benefit our regional information science community?
If the stipend recipient is unable to meet all of the terms due to a relocation, NEASIS&T should be notified immediately. If they cannot attend the 2025 ASIS&T Annual Meeting, they will forfeit the entirety of the stipend.
