Why Join SIG-AH?

SIG-AH is unique in that it spans the arts, humanities, information sciences and other scientific disciplines that scholars can explore for interdisciplinary research, innovative practice, and creative endeavors whether than is in the area of visual or performing arts, any area of librarianship and information science, or technology. Pioneering and transdisciplinary approaches are welcome -- only the sky is the limit! So, why not joining SIG-AH? Based on the selected testimonies from SIG-AH members and officers, prospective members will enjoy these opportunities:

  • SIG-AH is the conduit to connect the sciences, arts, and humanities
  • The opportunities for networking and collaboration across ASIST-SIG and even other professional organizations (e.g., Association for Computing in the Humanities [ACH], Society of American Archivists [SAA], Preservation and Archiving Special Interest Group [PASIG], and others) are wide open
  • SIG-AH offers opportunities to serve the professional community in elected officer and volunteer roles
