Visit the Cartoon Research Library

Have a little free time? Need a break? Take the opportunity to tour the Cartoon Research Library (http://cartoons.osu.edu/) located on the Ohio State University campus. The Cartoon Research Library holds the largest collections of original cartoon art in the world. The collection includes editorial cartoons, comic strips, comic books, graphic novels, sports cartoons, and magazine cartoons. Currently on display is the works of Sam Milai (March 23, 1908 – April 30, 1970), an artist and cartoonist of the Pittsburgh Courier. Tour begins at 3:30pm on Tuesday, October 28, 2008 and lasts between an hour and an hour and a half depending on questions. Numbers are limited for the tour so please sign-up online or at the sign-in sheet on the message board at the conference. The Cartoon Research Library is a short drive or bus ride north on High street (#2 bus) to Ohio State University; the Library is in the same building as the Wexner Center for the Arts, on High Street between 15th and 17th avenue.
