Information Technology: What Keeps Me Awake at Night
CO-ASIS&T Annual Meeting
Carol Pitts Diedrichs, Director of Libraries at The Ohio State University, will speak at this year’s annual meeting of the Central Ohio Chapter of the American Society for Information Science & Technology (CO-ASIS&T). Carol’s presentation Information Technology: What Keeps Me Awake at Night will focus on a series of issues which pose new challenges and opportunities for the modern research library. In particular, issues of relevance for The Ohio State University Libraries, including data curation, discoverability of library resources, preservation of digital content, and the impact of the Google Books Project and e-readers on library collections.
Take advantage of this opportunity to meet OSU’s new Director of Libraries, and also visit the renovated William Oxley Thompson Memorial Library. Housing significant print collections, digital information resources, spaces for individual study, and areas for interactive group learning, the Thompson’s original, unique architectural features have now been restored to their original grandeur.
