Proposed Merger with SLA – Vote to Open July 28

Over the past six weeks, ASIS&T has been collecting and responding to member feedback on the possibility of merger with the Special Libraries Association. On June 29 the associations held a joint Town Hall where many member questions were answered.

While we had hoped to open the membership vote on July 19, there is a document that requires Board action before we can open the vote. The Board will meet on July 28 so the vote will open as soon as that Board meeting concludes. All current members of ASIS&T will receive a ballot via Election Buddy on July 28 and will have until 9 am on August 18 to cast your vote in favor of or in opposition to the merger of ASIS&T and SLA.
