However, the following revisions are suggested:
- Reference to ISO 25964-1:
Section 2 cites ISO 25964-1:2011, Information and documentation – Thesauri and interoperability with other vocabularies – Part 1: Thesauri for information retrieval. Please consider updating this reference to reflect the most recent revision of Part 1 of this ISO standard. - Clarification in Section 7.4.5 (Vocabulary):
The full name “Virtual International Authority File” should be followed by the abbreviation “(VIAF)” upon first mention for clarity and consistency. - Additional Recommended Vocabulary Resource:
The Getty Thesaurus of Geographic Names (TGN) is a widely recognized and significant resource for indexing geographical names. It is recommended that this be included in the list of vocabulary sources in Section 7.4.5.
