Kip Wolf is a life sciences executive and applied researcher whose work sits at the intersection of information science, data integrity, and AI governance in regulated environments. Based in greater Philadelphia, he is the founder of Thaumazo Bioscience Management, where he works as an embedded fractional executive with growth-stage biopharma ventures navigating the gap between promising science and commercial execution.
Kip brings more than thirty years of experience in information systems and life sciences operations, with a particular focus on how data creation practices, provenance, and metadata governance influence the quality and trustworthiness of information used to inform human health outcomes. He is a co-lead contributor to the ASQ TR3:2022 Data Integrity standard and has contributed to FDA-adjacent AI working groups focused on the use of artificial intelligence in life sciences manufacturing and post-marketing surveillance.
A US Navy veteran, Kip holds an MBA from Eastern University and a BA in Management of Information Systems. He is an incoming PhD student in Information Science at Drexel University (fall 2026), where his research will examine the intersection of data integrity, metadata and paradata, and AI governance.
Kip has been an active ASIS&T member since joining the community, serving on the Education Committee and as Treasurer of SIG-KM. He is a member of SIG-AI and SIG-HLTH, and is also a member of the ACM and IEEE Computer Society.
On the Board, Kip hopes to contribute to something the merged ASIS&T community is still working out: how to build programming, pathways, and professional connections that serve researchers and practitioners equally well. He comes to that work as someone who has spent most of his career at that boundary, and he's looking forward to learning as much as he contributes.
