Asia Chapter:
We are happy to announce the Asia Chapter election results! The Chair-Elect for 2026-2027 is Pu Yan. Yuehua Zhao will serve as the new Chair at the conclusion of the ASIS&T Annual Meeting in November. Thank you to Shaobo Liang for serving as 2025-2026 Chair.
Canada Chapter:
We are happy to announce the Canada Chapter election results! The Chair-Elect for 2026-2027 is Allison Smith. Danielle Allard will serve as the new Chair at the conclusion of the ASIS&T Annual Meeting in November. Thank you to Cansu Ekmekcioglu for serving as 2025-2026 Chair.
Europe Chapter:
We are happy to announce the Europe Chapter election results! The Chair-Elect for 2026-2027 is Anna Mierzecka. Tsveta Rafaylova will continue serving as Chair at the conclusion of the ASIS&T Annual Meeting in November. Thank you to Tsveta Rafaylova for her leadership and service as 2025-2026 Chair.
South Asia Chapter:
US Midwest Chapter:
The US Midwest Chapter hosted a very successful first U.S. Midwest Chapter Virtual Happy Hour on August 26 with seventeen attendees from all over the Midwest, including Oklahoma, Kansas, Illinois, Ohio, Wisconsin, and even New York. They are hosting another one on October 28 and are gearing up for their next networking event, a Dutch treat dine-around in Norman, Oklahoma in November!
US Northeast Chapter (NEASIST):
NEASIST hosted a Webinar titled "Makerspace Fails" on September 3.
Congratulations to the 2026 NEASIS&T Conference Support Award recipients: Mizanur Rahman, Syeda Shahid, Xiaofeng Li, and Nayana Kirasur. The US South Chapter hosted "Information Literacy Panel" o October 20, 2026. Panelists shared their perspectives on this timely topic and talk about the way IL continues to rise in pertinence and importance in our ever-evolving and increasingly complex information ecosystem.
