New Special Interest Groups (SIGs)

The ASIS&T Board of Directors has recently approved 2 communities to join the lineup of ASIS&T Special Interest Groups: SIG-CAMPP & SIG-SNIPS.

SIGs are chartered by the Board of Directors to give members with similar professional specialties the opportunity to exchange ideas and keep themselves informed about current and discrete developments in their fields. The activities of the SIGs, planned by their members and elected officers, provide clear indication of the diverse interests and needs of ASIS&T members. Through participation in SIGs, you can help design what, in essence, are small professional organizations within the broader international Association.

The Chemistry, Astronomy, Mathematics, Materials & Physics (CAMMP) SIG is a vibrant community of practice for librarians and information professionals supporting chemistry, astronomy, mathematics, materials science, physics, and related fields. Click here to join SIG-CAMMP.

The Students and New Information Professionals (SNIPs) SIG is a forum for students pursuing library and information science and for early-career information professionals. Membership in this SIG is limited to Student and Early Career membership types. All members of these membership types will be added autonomically.
