Research Data Management and Role of Libraries

The webinar will present an overview of Research Data Management (RDM), types of research data services, and library engagements in institutional RDM practices, along with workable recommendations for the libraries, particularly of developing countries.

Presenters

Dr. Muhammad Rafiq is Associate Professor at Department of Information Management, University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan. He has over 18 years of experience in teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, conducting and supervising research, and administrating libraries and archives of government and non-government institutes. He is also serving as the Editor of Pakistan Journal of Information Management & Libraries (PJIM&L). His recent research project of Post-Doc as a Fulbright Visiting Scholar in USA was on Research Data Management and Services. His research interests are: Research Data Management, Social Media, ICTs Applications in Information Settings, and Digital Libraries.
