The Engaging Technology Leader

This webinar is about the new science behind social and emotional intelligence. Research shows that emotional intelligence is responsible for 58% of your job performance, and that emotionally intelligent professionals make on average 30% more money than their lower EQ counterparts. As a leader in science/technology, if you can't engage others around you and emotionally connect your ideas and the importance of your work, you can't create true change. In fact, it is more important than ever in this age to be able to connect your passion with your audience's heart.

As a scientist or a technologist, it can be easy to fall in love with the data and research, but most importantly we have to learn how to influence those around us to take action. This interactive webinar is an exploration of what social and emotional intelligence is and how leaders can deepen their emotional intelligence skills to advance their professional leadership. By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to: 1) define social and emotional intelligence (SEI); 2) understand and learn why developing SEI is important to their career; and 3) understand what actions they can take to start further developing their SEI.
