SIG-USE Student Conference Travel Award 2025

Submissions due August 10, 2025!

We invite students to apply for this year's SIG-USE Student Travel Award. One award of USD 1,000 is available to help cover the cost of attending the 2025 SIG-USE Symposium, which will be held on-site in conjunction with ASIS&T. Please note that 1) you must be a member of SIG-USE (you are welcome to join now if you are not, there is no additional fee for SIG-USE membership) when you receive the award; 2) receipt of the funds is contingent on in-person attendance at the symposium; if the selected recipient does not attend, the award will move to the next candidate.

To apply, send the following items in a single email (copying all three co-chairs: Hengyi Fu, hfu4@ua.edu; Qingyue Guo, yuemail@whu.edu.cn; Fan Yang, fyang36@usf.edu) to the award committee:

  1. A cover letter to introduce yourself and why you apply for this award
  2. A statement connecting your research to the 2025 conference theme or information behavior reserach in general
  3. One endorsement letter from your advisor or another faculty member.

Applications are due August 10, 2025. We understand that it may take more time to obtain an endorsement letter, especially during the summer. Please contact me if you believe you require additional time to prepare your application package. We look forward to receiving your applications!
