Dirk Lewandowski
The Search Studies research group, led by Dirk Lewandowski, Professor of Information Research and Information Retrieval at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences, has been granted three more years to develop the Result Assessment Tool (RAT). The German Research Foundation approved a corresponding application. The RAT is a free, web-based open-source software that allows researchers to identify relevant search queries, collect results from different search systems, analyze them, and have them evaluated. Additionally, the research group supports studies with RAT through workshops and individual consultations. In the second project phase, the tool will be further developed, integrated into the ecosystem of relevant research software, and made future-proof.
