Final ASIS&T Strategic Plan, 2025-28

As ASIS&T continues to grow and evolve, it is essential that our direction reflects both the needs of our members and the rapidly changing landscape of the information sciences. ASIS&T pleased to share that the 2025–2028 ASIS&T Strategic Plan has been finalized and is now available for download HERE.

This plan represents many months of thoughtful work, collaboration, and input from across our community. From our Board of Directors and Strategic Planning Task Force to the many members who shared ideas and feedback, this has truly been a collective effort. Together, we’ve developed a plan that builds on ASIS&T’s strong foundation while charting an ambitious course for the next three years.

The plan outlines clear priorities around member engagement, professional development, publications pedagogy, and advocacy. It also reaffirms our commitment to innovation and global community, and ensuring that ASIS&T remains the premier international association for library and information science researchers and professionals.

The Board of Directors will vote on the plan at its November 15 meeting, after which implementation will begin in early 2026. In the meantime, I encourage every member to review the plan and share your thoughts. Your feedback helps ensure that ASIS&T continues to reflect the values and vision of its diverse, dynamic membership.
